COL2A1 antiboy the story so far.

I shall send out this afternoon by Federal Express a sample of the lyophylized antiserum corresponding to 5 ml of the original serum. As you know, it's directed against the recombinant COL1-peptide of COLIIA and should now be tested for its specificity on mouse sections by immunofluorescence. The titer of the original serum was more than 1/12000 so I would recommend a dilution of 1/1000. I would proceed as follows: Add 5 ml of destilled water to the lyophylized sample and aliquot the resulting solution after centrifugation into 100 microliter aliquots. Most of them you may freeze, those that you use directly, you can dilute by 1/1000 with an appropriate buffer, for example PBS. I look forward to receiving news about the specificity of the peptide. In the meantime, we shall test it by immunoblotting.

Looking forward to hearing from you

I remain yours sincerely,

Peter Bruckner
