Auditions for the 2000-2001 Co-ed Squad will be as follows:
Spring auditions will be held the Saturday after the annual Sun God Festival at UCSD, May 27nd. If you did not qualify at this time, you are welcome to audition again in the Fall.
Fall auditioning for the squad is geared to give incoming new students as well as others a chance to be on the squad and is usually more competitive than Spring auditions. Fall auditions will be held the third week of October after the Fall Festival on The Green here at UCSD. All auditions will be held in the Main Gym in Muir College on the UCSD Main Campus. Auditions are open to any student or perspective student.
Required skills will cover all basic areas of modern cheerleading including dancing, cheering, jumping, stunting, and tumbling. A personal interview will also be conducted at that time to assess your personal goals and insights regarding the squad and your contributions. Auditions are judged impartially by professional judges of the United Spirit Association and FLIP San Diego Gymnastics and will consist of a two-hour training session immediately followed by a one-hour audition, after which the names of the new members will be announced.
