MTH 132 Exam 1 Materials: Computing the Sum of the First N Terms
One last detail. Since you usually aren't given the Nth term... that is, the last term in a given sequence 'N' terms long, you usually have to find it. So, if you're not given the Nth term, you have to compute it first. Use your first term, your number of terms, and the difference to compute it.
