How could you leave me
after a moment's bliss?
Did I mean that little to you?
I don't understand...
how could you be so heartless?
so cruel and uncaring?
I just don't understand...
what made you leave me?

I did everything to keep you near,
everything but lie and deceive.
I never thought that
you would break my heart in two.
But, our love songs that played,
played not for us two.
Never again will I love so fully.
Too badly have I been burned before.
