We have all heard of the Save the Whales foundation and the foundation for the prevention of cruelty to animals, yet no one ever thinks of the snail.
Each year, thousands of snails are mercilessly taken from their homes and sent to fine restaurants. They are marinated in garlic sauces and wine, and served on a silver platter to the rich snobs in our society. These snails did nothing to deserve this fate.
