The Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble has moved into the "Theatre" mode of percussion ensemble for the 1999 season. Their show is entitled: "Airborne; A brief history of flight". They explore many different styles of music and incorporate costume changes all depicting "a brief history of flight". The ensemble boasts 23 members in the pit and 15 in the battery. There is also a prop crew of 5 members. Staff includes Mark Arnold, executive director, Dan Burke, director, Mike Nevin, arranger/instructor, James Steinke, arranger/instructor, Ray Ullibarri, instructor, John Crouch, drill designer, Doug Rosner, instructor, Dave Marvin, instructor, Angela Nevin, costume designer.
