So who is Ricky Martin, you might ask? Haven't you been watching the World Cup? Well Enrique Martin Morales, who is better known as Ricky Martin to his fans is a fantastic performer. He is behind the theme song of this year's World Cup, "La Copa De La Vida". He will be performing this song in the closing ceremony on the 12th July.

If you think that Ricky is just a one hit wonder... Boy you are wrong! His newest album "Vuelve" has really soulful ballads like "Casi Un Bolero" and several upbeat tunes that would simply get you off your feet, like "Maria" (fantastic song! Wished my name was Maria though), "La Bomba" and "Marcia Baila". The latter is a really "INTERESTING" song, if you are able to understand Spanish. But I'll try to translate it in plain old English. Yup this album in its entirety is completely in Spanish. But whatever it is, this album is worth buying.

What made me listen to Ricky was his song "Maria" which I caught on MTV one morning a couple months ago. WOW! That was the first word that came out my gaping mouth ( hmmm that doesn't put me in a favourable light, but heck who cares :)) So that very day, I went out in search of this MAGNIFICENT BABE! I asked several befuddled salesgirls for his CD but they all gave me the same answer "Huh? Ricky what?". I was crushed!
