This is by far the most difficult review I have yet to write. I just spent two hours just sitting in front of my computer trying to think of some way to synopsize Douglas Adams' books. I must admitt that I have found it close to impossible to do. Rather than go into every individually I will give you an overview of the 5 part Hitchhiker series. Basically at the beginning of the first book the Earth is destroyed by an alien space ship, and only one human survives. He then goes through a long series of adventures with several of his alien friends and a very disgruntled android.
That discription is so bland it's criminal, but I find I can't even begin to try to explain Adams' totally unique and ingeniously funny style of storytelling. It's just truly beyond discription. All I can tell you is that if you read the series and don't find it funny, you have absolutely no sense of humor at all.
Again this review fails to do the author any degree of justice. I guess you just have to read his books to discover how amazingly funny they are.
