For the 1999-2000 school year, the 7^th grade at Murphy Middle School has selected the theme "The Land of the Pharoahs". Homebases will have Egyptian names and we will have many activities and assignments related both to ancient and modern day Egypt.

In order to prepare for our classes we have listed items which will be required or requested for each of the academic subjects.

Mr. Rodney Alt - Literature - You will need a three-ring report folder with flaps and loose-leaf paper or a three-ring binder. Although blue or black ink is preferred (no green, red, etc.), you may use both pens or pencils.

Mrs. Jodi Alverson - Language Arts - You will need a three ring folder and a three ring binder.

Ms. Julie Curtis - Math and Pre-Algebra - You will need a large three ring binder with tabbed organizers and pencils only (no ink). You would find it beneficial (not required) for both math and science to have a Scientific Calculator (we use Texas Instruments TI-34).

Mrs. Amber Ledford - Science - You will need a three ring binder and loose leaf paper.

Mr. Ben Pipes - Social Studies - You will need either a three ring binder or a large composition notebook.

Only blue or black ink pens or pencils are requested (no greens, red, etc.).
