High Pressure Group Awareness Meeting Will Be Held
by Christopher Peters
On Wednesday, September 9, at 1:00 p.m. in the University Student
Union Presidents Room 1&2, there will be a informational open
discussion about high pressure groups and how they operate.
The discussion is to provide awareness that these type of groups are
similar to cults. Recruitment is a rising problem on campus due to the
persistent recruiting tactics used and the consequences suffered if
joined.
The meeting will be presented by the
Interfaith Center and the
University Police Department. The speakers will be Officer Bonnie
Myers, Campus Minister Laurie Oester and Adele Langworthy.
For further information, please contact the Interfaith Center +1 (562)
985-7629 and also the University Police at 985-4101.
