UNIVERSITY RULES AND REGULATIONS


          CONDUCT

          Students are expected to observe generally accepted standards of conduct. The College reserves the right to exclude any student whose conduct is prejudicial and injurious to the College.

          RULES AND REGULATIONS ON STUDENT PROMOTION:

          Policy decisions pertaining to Student Promotion is based on laid down Rules and Regulations approved by the Governing Body of the University. A printed booklet on the approved Rules and Regulations on Student Promotion is provided to students on enrollment. It is the responsibility of students to adhere to the University Rules and Regulations. Students should not expect waiver of rules on individual case basis. The University reserves the right to amend rules as and when required.

          POLICY ON CLASS ATTENDANCE:

          Attendance of 80% is mandatory for all students. Students must be present for announced tests, lectures, laboratory periods, tutorials, dissections, field visits, clinics and other scheduled activities. Students with less than 80% attendance will not be allowed to appear in the examination.

          DISCIPLINE

          The University expects and will demand honesty from the students. Use of unfair means during examinations as well as in other settings will result in irrevocable dismissal from the University.

          Other causes of dismissal include:

          • Submitting false evidence/lying.
          • Stealing.
          • Willful destruction of equipment, furnishing or property.
          • Physical violence against other students, faculty or staff.
          • Use of drugs.
          • Violation of the civil rights of others.
          • Non payment of tuition and other fees within the specified period.
          • Protracted absence without permission from the classes.
