Theta Xi is always looking for new members who have the interest, spirit and excellence which Theta Xi demands. We suggest that you come find out about who we are by exploring our purpose and information pages here, and then come check us out in person. We invite you to have a look at our Rush Dates, and attend one of our events. If perhaps you cannot attend, but are interested in joining, then come to the Student Center and speak to a brother, or email us here. As an active national fraternity, we always have events planned and encourage you to come find out what Theta Xi is all about: Excellence in Brotherhood.

After investigating all that Theta Xi has to offer, you may receive a formal bid, or invitation to join Theta Xi as an Associate Member. As an Associate Member, you will be taught about the organization, and will learn what is expected as a member of Theta Xi. While other organizations refer to this experience as a Pledge period, which infers hazing, we chose to use the term Associate Member, since we do not believe in hazing.

Hazing refers to any act which might put a person in physical or mental danger or might cause harm. Hazing is unbrotherly and is exemplary of a poor fraternity. Theta Xi National Fraternity is actively against hazing. Therefore, as an Associate Member you will not be subject hazing, thus promoting a better brother and one who is appreciative of the Brotherhood.

As an Associate, you will learn the history, heritage and roles of being a Theta Xi Brother. Through activities and projects, you will develop your leadership skills, using them to your benefit and to the benefit of the fraternity. During this time, you will prepare for the challenges which await you as a Brother of Theta Xi.
