ACCOMODATION IN BHUTAN
There are limited number of hotels and lodges in Bhutan varying in quality and standards. It might be hard to get bookings during the peak tourist seasons. At other times, vacancies can be guaranteed. Anyway, if you are visiting Bhutan, not as a normal tourist paying the 'fixed daily tourist rates', it is better to make your booking by contacting the hotel in advance. But if you don't mind, you will of course be able to get a room in ordianry hotels (not tourist hotels) at any time, but the facilities may be substandard.
If you have booked your tour in Bhutan through a travel agent, the fixed 'daily tourist tariff' covers your accomodation in Bhutan. You can select your own hotels through your travel agent at no extra charge, but it should be noted that the standard of accomodation may vary in different places.
