Computers helped my boyfriend and me keep in touch via e-mail
while we were students at different universities.
One evening, checking my e-mail at a campus computer lab,
I sat at the first available station - the instructor's seat
that faces eight rows of computers and students.
After reading an especially romantic e-mail from my boyfriend,
I began to type a response.
A woman tapped me on the shoulder,
"Look behind you," she said.
There, for all to see, was my boyfriend's love letter
displayed on an eight-by-eight-foot projection screen!
