"La
Cité des Enfants Perdus" ("The City of Lost Children")
is a french movie directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet ("Alien: Resurrection",
"Delicatessen"). The first movie I watched from this director was
"Delicatessen" which is a weird comedy with interesting characters,
it had some sci-fi sparks all over it and that gave it a special flavor. When
"The City of Lost Children" was released I heard that it was from
the same director of "Delicatessen" having good memories of that movie
I went to the movies theater and watched one of the most original sci-fi movies
that I've ever seen. The Characters were interesting like they were on "Delicatessen"
but this time Sci-Fi dominated over humor. An interesting fact is that both
movies were co-directed by Marc Caro (who co-wrote "Delicatessen"
with Gilles Adrien). Gilles Adrien was back on COLC since he co wrote the story
with Jean-Pierre Jeunet. It seems that Jean-Pierre Jeunet has a well built team
since he's been using the same crew and actors for several movies.
