Although I live in Scotland I'm actually English and the name is derived from a Dutch name 'Van Tinck' from a family which settled in the county of Norfolk in an area known as ittle Holland. Now retired I spent most of my life travelling the world in the Merchant Marine, Royal Navy and as a civilian helicopter pilot. We',e done a lot of travelling on holiday and I'm just planning a trip to Alaska, Oregon and Chicago.
