ÊÊ Ruth Stacy Cloward Warren, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, 87, of Salem, Utah, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 1999 at the Colombia Mt. View Hospital.
ÊÊ She was born on August 9, 1911 in Salem, Utah, to John Ray Cloward and Reva Grant Plumb Cloward . She married William Owen Warren on July 9, 1931. They recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 11, 1947.
ÊÊ Ruth attended the Salem schools. She was also a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has served in many assignments. She taught a genealogy class to the Young Women, she was drama director and teacher. She served as Sunday School secretary for many years, and as secretary for the Relief Society. She and her husband Owen worked in the Provo Temple doing sealings. Ruth also belonged to the Salem Literary Club and was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.Ê
ÊÊ Ruth is survived by her husband, William Owen; and her two children; LerayÊ Owen, (Linda) Warren of Salem and Louise Ruth Warren (Jerry) Riding of Salt Lake; 10 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandchild.Ê She was preceded in death by her brother, John Ray Cloward Jr. and her parents.
ÊÊ Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 1999, at the Salem LDS Ward Chapel, 50 South Main Street, Salem. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork, or at the church on Thursday 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial will be at the Salem City Cemetery.
