Our loving mother and grandmother died July 17, 1994 at age 87.
Born February 23, 1907 in Payson, Utah, a daughter of Laura Staheli and Thomas Jr. Cloward. Married Lee C. Thomas in the Salt Lake LDS Temple March 10, 1926; he preceded her in death in 1989.
Had been an active member of the Wilford 1st Ward and member of DUP. She loved the gospel and was devoted to her family. She especially loved children, gardening and was an excellent seamstress.
Survivors include son, Lynn A. Thomas; daughters, Shirley (Clint) Barker, Virginia (James R.) Anderson, Norma (George) Simmons, all of Salt Lake City; sister, Rhea McBeth; brothers, Wells and Don (Helen), and sister-in-law, Joyce. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services Thursday, July 21, 1994, 11 a.m. at the Wilford 1st Ward, 3179 South Highland Drive. Friends may call Wednesday evening, 7-8 p.m. at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 So. Highland Dr. and Thursday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Payson City Cemetery.
