*eukaryotic
*some have flagella or cilia
*kingdom of protists includes complex and simple structures
*moist live in water or moist land
*most are aerobic
*both unicellular and multicellular

Examples of heterotrophic protists-
*those which move using pseudopodia- amoeba and entamoeba histolytica
* sporozoans with complex life cycles- plamodium
*flagellates- trypanosoma
*ciliates- paramecium
