First through fourth place rosettes for Starters / Novice non-standard classes will be combined.
All qualifiers will receive a maroon ribbon.
First through fourth place rosettes will be award for placements in mini (12" & 16") and open (22" & 26") division in the Pair Relay classes.
Grand Prix of Dog Agility® Qualifier Prizes and Awards
First through third place rosettes will be awarded to the 12 inch height division.

Dogs must be registered with USDAA in order to compete in USDAA sanctioned events. A registration card and number with a "U" prefix will be issued to facilitate entry at USDAA events and tracking of show results in the regular classes Junior handlers (those 18 years of age and younger) and their dogs must be separately registered for participation in the USDAA Junior Handler Program (UJHP). A registration number with a "J" prefix will be assigned for use in entering UJHP events . Agility Test Standard Class Descriptions
The Starters/Novice level classes shall be for any dogs that have not earned the Agility Dog® title. When offered separately as Starters and Novice Classes, the Starters level classes are for dogs that have also not earned a title in the Performance Program, or a dog that is handled by a person who has not previously earned the Agility Dog® title or a title in the Performance or Veterans Program with any dog.
The Advanced level classes shall be for dogs that have earned the Agility Dog® title and have not earned the Advanced Agility Dog® title.
The Masters level classes shall be for dogs that have earned the Advanced Agility Dog® title. Additionally, a dog that has received two qualifying scores in one Advanced level nonstandard agility class (i.e., Snooker, Jumpers, Gamblers, or Pairs Relay), with scores being earned from two different judges (and with two different partners in pairs relay) shall be eligible for entry into the same Masters level nonstandard class without having earned the Advanced Agility Dog® title.
Performance Program:
Performance Program classes are open to dogs not entered in the Championship Dog Agility Program at this agility test. Classes include standard Performance, Gamblers Performance, Jumpers Performance, and Snooker Performance classes as defined in USDAA rules & regulations. Generally, Performance Level I, Level II, and Level III are run on courses used for Starters, Advanced and Masters classes in the Championship Program, with the following exceptions: the A-frame is set at 5’6", jump heights are one height class lower as set forth in Notes to Competitors, no spread hurdles are utilized and time standards in the standard and jumpers classes are extended by up to 3 seconds beyond that utilized in the Championship Program. Eligibility for entry is determined as follows:
The Performance I classes shall be for any dog that has not earned the Performance Dog I title.
The Performance II classes shall be for any dog that has earned the Performance Dog I title, the Agility Dog title® or the Veteran Agility Dog® title, but has not earned the Performance Dog II title.
The Performance III classes shall be for any dog that has earned the Performance Dog II title, the Advanced Agility Dog title® or the Veteran Advanced Agility Dog® title. Additionally, a dog that has received two qualifying scores from two different judges, in either (I) two qualifying scores in Level II nonstandard classes, (2) two qualifying scores in Advanced level nonstandard classes, or (3) two qualifying scores in Veterans level nonstandard classes shall be eligible for entry into the PD III level for that nonstandard class.
Competitors whose dog(s) are entered in the Performance level may enter the Grand Prix of Dog Agility® Qualifier. However they must enter on a separate entry form at their Championship height.
Nonstandard Classes:
The rules set forth in the USDAA Rules and Regulations shall be followed for conduct of the following classes:Gamblers Class: The competition consists of a course with no pre-determined route and each obstacle is assigned a point value. In the 'opening' period the handler seeks to accumulate points by performing the obstacles of his / her choice in the time allotted. At the conclusion of the 'opening' the handler attempts the 'gamble', a sequence designated by the judge to be handled from a distance, for additional points. This non-standard class is pursuant to the provisions of Section 6.1 and Section 6.5 of USDAA Rules and Regulations.
Jumpers Class: This class consists of a course of jumps and may include a tire and tunnels. This non-standard class is scored pursuant to the provisions of Section 6.1 and Section 6.5 through 6.6 of USDAA Rules and Regulations.
Pairs Relay: This class consists of a standard course with one dog and handler running a portion of the course, followed by a baton exchange to a second handler and dog who run the second portion of the course. This non-standard class is scored pursuant to the provisions of Section 6.1 and Section 6.5 through 6.6 of USDAA Rules and Regulations.

* This event is open to all dogs being at least eighteen (18) months of age, including purebred and non-purebred, except bitches in season, dogs suffering from any deformity, injury, or illness which may affect the dog's physical or mental performance, or dogs exhibiting signs of aggression.
* All dogs must be registered with USDAA in order to compete at sanctioned events. Registration may be made concurrently with entry on registration form provided in this test schedule.
* No leads, collars, food, toys, or other aids or devices shall be permitted on the course at any time.
* Safety shall always be of foremost consideration in actions and conduct by handlers at all times. Handlers through entry at this event accept full responsible for themselves, their dogs and/or children. Any competitors whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, be asked to leave the show site and no fees paid will be refunded.
* Dogs and /or handlers may not enter any class held for title under a judge who resides in the same household or with whom the handler affiliates through training classes within the last two weeks.
* The Organizing Committee may refuse any entry for any reason.
* Entry fees will not be refunded after the closing date, or in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the Event Committee.
* No entry fee will be refunded if the Event cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an Act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strike or any other cause beyond the control of the club.
* Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry. There will be a $20.00 service charge for returned checks. Payment of entry fees and service charges shall be made in cash or money order within 30 days of postmark of notice of returned check here notification is received after event date. Any fees not received within 30 days of notice result in cancellation of event results for all classes for the registration number(s) of delinquent entry/entries. No reinstatement of results is possible, and all awards must be returned within 10 days of notification, or the dog’s registration may be suspended pending restitution. Any unpaid fees or shortfalls must be paid prior to the start of the event or entry is canceled without recourse by owner/handler.
* All dogs must be kept on lead when not competing in the ring. No dogs may be left tied to trees, cars, or fence.
* The show site is on a grass surface. Ring gates and safety tape will mark off rings.
* No electrical hook-ups for motor homes or campers are available.
* In the event of an unusually large entry, the organizing committee may impose fault limits on any classes where they apply.

* All Competitors through entry at this event waive any and all rights relative to video broadcast of this event. Competitors shall have the right to videotape portions of this event for their personal use only. No portion of this event may be videotaped for commercial or other purposes. All video, broadcast and telecast rights for this event are the exclusive property of United States Dog Agility Association, Inc.
* Portions of this event may be taped for television. Through entry at this event, ALL COMPETITORS and HANDLERS HEREBY GRANT to USDAA and its representatives, agents and assigns, all rights and permission to use or appropriate his/her and their dog’s name, biography, likeness, photograph, voice, performing persona, or other indica of identity for broadcast, telecast, cablecast, transmission or distribution in any format or media now known. All competitors and handles hereby release USDAA and its representatives, agents and assigns from any claim or cause of action for invasion of the rights of privacy, right of publicity, right of personality, or any similar right.
2002 Grand Prix Tournament Rules - continued
For competitors from outside North America, they may qualify through a local qualifier, as described above, or by meeting performance standards as follows:
· dogs who are finalists in recognized championship tournaments outside North America meeting competitive standards of USDAA’s Masters classes, FCI’s Agility III classes or The Kennel Club (of Great Britain)’s Intermediate or higher level classes.
· dogs who have two or more zero fault rounds in Intermediate or higher level classes in Great Britain, or
· dogs who have earned a title in Agility III competition outside North America as defined in the FCI class framework
Dogs qualifying through events held outside the United States must register with USDAA and submit proof of qualifying results prior to or along with their entry to the Championships in order to be eligible to compete. Foreign entrants are encouraged to submit their proof of eligibility in advance of entry to provide sufficient time for validation of eligibility.
Dogs that have earned right of entry to the World Championship Finals are not eligible to compete in another Regional Championship final round.
Eligibility for direct entry into World Championship Finals
To be eligible for direct entry into the World Championship Finals, dogs must have –
· placed first in one of the Regional Championship events held during the current tournament season with a score of ten (10) or fewer faults.
· placed in the top 15% of the World Championship semifinals, providing a total of up to sixteen (16) dogs in each height class.
· have been recognized as a national champion or winner of another international tournament that have been conducted outside of North America, meeting competitive standards commensurate with Grand Prix performance criteria, involving at least two rounds of competition. Such champions will increase the number of finalist slots.
Special Rules of Entry
The following special rules apply:
Entry forms for the World Championship event will be available no later than August 1, 2002 and mailed to each qualifying competitor for events held prior to that date.
Local Qualifying & Regional Championship Awards Sponsored by USDAA
Placement rosettes shall be awarded to a minimum of three, four, five and five places in the 12", 16", 22" and 26" height classes, respectively, at local qualifying trials. Dogs with qualifying scores shall receive a maroon qualifying rosette. Special placement rosettes for each height class shall be awarded to first place at the Regional Championship level.
All competitors in each height class who qualify for the final round at a Regional Championship shall receive a USDAA/Grand Prix regional champions screen-printed polo shirt to be worn in the final round of that Regional Championship.
Additionally, the first place dog/handler in each jump height class at a Regional Championship event that competes in the finals shall receive a transportation assistance award not to exceed $300 (subject to limitations) pursuant to USDAA’s 2002 Tournament Transportation Assistance Award Policy, a copy of which shall be provided along with a claim form to all first place winners. A copy of the Award Policy may be obtained from regional event secretaries or by request from USDAA, P.O. Box 850955, Richardson, TX 75085, (972) 487-2200, email to: [email protected], or by visiting the USDAA web site at: www.usdaa.com (see the Administrative page "Forms Library"). A dog and/or handler may only receive one transportation assistance award. World Championship awards shall be announced in the Agility Test Schedule for the event.
GENERAL AGREEMENT
I(we) agree that the Chesapeake Bay Achievers has the right to refuse this entry for cause, which the organizing committee alone shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, of the holding of the event and of the opportunity to have the dog participate and/or to be judged, I(we) agree to hold the organizing committee, Chesapeake Bay Achievers, United States Dog Agility Association, Inc., including their members, officers, directors, agents and employees, sponsors of the event, and owners of the premises upon which the event is held and their employees harmless from any claim for loss or injury that may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I(we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim. I(we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, death or otherwise, and from any claim for damage or injury to the dog, whether such loss, disappearance, appearance, theft, damage or injury, be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes. I(we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for an agree to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves) or on account of damage to property arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, howsoever such injuries, death or damage to property may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or have been alleged to have been for entry as set forth in the Agility Test Schedule of which this entry form is a part. TOURNAMENT RULES
USDAA® Grand Prix of Dog Agility®
World Championships
General Description
USDAA’s 2002 Grand Prix of Dog Agility is designed to showcase the world’s top competitors and to name an annual champion in the sport of dog agility. In North America, the tournament offers more than thirty qualifying trials to be held between September 2001 and October 2002 (the current Grand Prix season), six regional championships, and the World Championship event (the "Championships") to be held in Metairie, Louisiana in mid to late November 2002 (location & specific date awaiting confirmation). The Regional Championships will be held in select cities across North America from January through September, with each event consisting of two rounds - a semifinal round in which all prequalified entrants compete to earn a slot in the final round. The top qualifying winner from each height class of these Regional Championships earn entry to the World Championship Finals, while all finalists earn a bye in the World Championships quarterfinals. The World Championship event in November will consist of a quarterfinals, semifinals and final round.
General Rules
Rules & regulations of the United States Dog Agility Association, currently in effect at the date of competition shall apply. All dogs must be registered with USDAA in order to compete in tournament competition. The following additional rules shall apply:
· Standard scoring rules for the Masters standard agility class as set forth in Chapter 3 of USDAA rules and regulations shall apply, except that standard course times shall range between 3.50 and 3.75 yards per second for dogs in the 22" and 26" classes, and 2.85 and 3.00 yards per second for dogs in the 12" height class, and 3.00 and 3.20 yards per second for dogs in the 16" height class. Additionally, no credit for other titles shall be awarded for participation in tournament classes.
· Competitors in the Regional Championship finals and in the World Championship Semifinals and Finals are required to wear official tournament polo shirts that will be distributed at the events, except that Regional Championship finalists are responsible for providing their Regional finalist shirt for the World Championship semifinals, if they so advance.
Eligibility & Entry Rules
General Eligibility
All dogs whose owners reside within North America must qualify for entry into a Regional Championship event or World Championship Quarterfinals by scoring ten (10) faults or less in a local qualifier sanctioned by USDAA for purposes of meeting standards set forth in these tournament rules.

I(we) agree that the Chesapeake Bay Achievers has the right to refuse this entry for cause, which the organizing committee alone shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, of the holding of the event and of the opportunity to have the dog participate and/or to be judged, I(we) agree to hold the organizing committee, Chesapeake Bay Achievers, United States Dog Agility Association, Inc., including their members, officers, directors, agents and employees, sponsors of the event, and owners of the premises upon which the event is held and their employees harmless from any claim for loss or injury that may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I(we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim. I(we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, death or otherwise, and from any claim for damage or injury to the dog, whether such loss, disappearance, appearance, theft, damage or injury, be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes. GENERAL AGREEMENT
I(we) agree that the Chesapeake Bay Achievers has the right to refuse this entry for cause, which the organizing committee alone shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, of the holding of the event and of the opportunity to have the dog participate and/or to be judged, I(we) agree to hold the organizing committee, Chesapeake Bay Achievers, United States Dog Agility Association, Inc., including their members, officers, directors, agents and employees, sponsors of the event, and owners of the premises upon which the event is held and their employees harmless from any claim for loss or injury that may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or upon the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I(we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim. I(we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss of this dog by disappearance, theft, death or otherwise, and from any claim for damage or injury to the dog, whether such loss, disappearance, appearance, theft, damage or injury, be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes.
