    Story:

Since it was rushed into production in the last few months of the Space War, there have been few changes to the Soldati. The post-war disasters incited by the Colony Crash has headed off most mobile suit development projects in favor of relief efforts and planetary reconstruction. This has meant more of the same for much of the United Alliance Armed Forces, who have seen only a few additions to their ranks. As for the Soldati, it continues to serve as the UAAF's workhorse on Earth and in space, indulging in the adage "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Granted, though Soldati is far from broken, that doesn't mean that it's perfect. Any improvements over the last few years have been fairly routine. The addition of a panoramic monitor system to the cockpit, along with a nuclear fusion engine, have been a requirement for all UAAF units. Beyond that, the suit is unchanged in terms of overall performance and weaponry, and this has hurt it more than any mechanical flaw. Most opposition to it know all too well what they're facing: a balanced unit which specializes in not being special at all. Overall, the machine is actually a few steps behind the old Aeshma Wing, placing it more on par with the original Aeshma fielded by the Grand Cross. Still, it is a sturdy machine, and trusted enough by the Alliance to continue heading up their ranks.
