    Story:

Omega is an ultra high-tech nightmare designed and constructed by Armatech Industries for Requiem. An extremely distant cousin of the original Valvalios "Red Baron" type mobile suit that often appeared on the field in the late days of the Space War, Omega is built on Armatech's top secret new Magna-frame, an internal system arrangement that has eerie parallels with the biological layout of human bone and muscle tissue, moreso than any mobile suit before it. This gives the prototype split second agility that is better suited to the piloting enhancing capabilities of the mysterious bio-computer. While the shear size of these intricate internal workings keep Omega from carrying much armor, this one weakness has been accounted for with the inclusion of other sophisticated examples of the latest, greatest technology.

Omega's core arsenal suggests a heavy emphasis on close range combat. Its Sanctus-type beam sabres are an amplified variant of the standard mobile suit melee weapon, featuring double the normal field strength and cutting power. Its "Hellwire" tail, which is normally kept concealed, is a strong bundle of intertwined myomer cables capped with a long, curved heat blade tip. It is strong enough to carve apart a mobile suit with a few strikes, and moves in response to the instinctive impulses of the pilot, as translated through the bio-computer.

Omega, however, also has a complement of ranged weapons built into the four wing-like funnels that can launch from its back. Each of these remote weapons is a free-floating attack drone that is also guided by the communicated whims of the pilot. Though they appear similar, the funnels all have a distinct weapon or feature that falls in line with their apocalyptic names. The "War" wing converts into an extremely powerful 720mm anti-warship beam cannon. "Death" is able to create a ghostly energy shroud around itself, giving Omega a very mobile, hands-free shield. "Famine" emits a grasping barrage of lightning bolts that damage both the target's armor and its electrical systems, while "Pestilence" fires a series of small, dagger-like beam shots over a wide field. These weapons alone help make Omega a one-unit army, though the concentration and discipline required to guide them all simultaneously is physically draining on the pilot.

As if all of this wasn't enough, Omega's designers have also included a power "Alter Mode" for the mobile suit to assume in truly dire situations. This configuration physically transforms the exterior of the mobile suit, opening its shoulder pods, lengthening its limbs by about 35%, and activating a number of thrusters and apogee motors all along its body. Core energy from the suit's fusion drive is carried through the myomer muscles, giving the pilot the ability to ignite portions of the body with temporary energy bursts that burn anything they touch. Unfortunately, activating the Alter Mode can also burn out the entire inner workings of the suit, not to mention overload the core itself. Incredible power comes with the cost of an extremely shortened lifespan, leaving this option as more of a desperation manoeuvre.

It should be noted that the original Omega prototype was critically damaged through the combined efforts of Grand Cross Commander Daniel Age, the enigmatic United Alliance agent Adam Eve, and Preventer officer Nathan Carver. Though that unit still managed to escape, its pilot ultimately self-detonated it to avoid its capture. Whether or not Requiem or Armatech have plans to construct another Omega, or any other mobile suits like it, is still unknown.
