For weaponry, Nexus is armed with a handful of heavy cannons, beam emitters, and launchers that are all placed on strategic points on its body. Its arsenal, at a glance, is concealed under its heavy armor, with panels and ports opening as the pilot requires them, reducing the risks of the Gundam losing some its attack power. The Sanctus keys, for example, are beam sabre-like handles that unfold directly in the suit's hand, staying attached and concealed until their activation. They can also be used to create small beam shields to parry or grasp incoming attacks with some finesse. On the other hand, the Gundam's chest-mounted particle cannon is an incredible anti-ship weapon that focus' energy from its engine core into a wide blast that can clear a whole field of enemies, possessing great power but lacking precision.
Two of Nexus' other weapons work in more direct concert with its bio-computer. Its twin shoulder launchers, for instance, can each let loose a showering volley of small, needle-like projectiles than can be directed by thought in swarms. Each missile shard carries a small explosive, which detonates after the needle has pierced its target and dug deep into its armor, maximizing internal damage. More sophisticated, however, is the burst aura, a reactive shield that enshrouds selected portions of the Gundam's body in blazing energy for short periods of time. This energy can be expelled from the suit on the will of the pilot, who telekinetically manipulates it through the bio-computer. When properly focussed by a trained mind, this "defensive" feature can be even more destructive than Nexus' main particle gun.
The growing incorporation of the Colony Century world's online networks into battlefield tactics has helped place Nexus' hardware at a rare crossroads with its weaponry. The Gundam's main computer is equipped with a variety of systems that help its pilot interface with the online world quickly, and tackle disruptions from there without significantly effecting battle capacity. This multi-tasking is largely due to the presence of "Virgil," the Nexus' onboard artificial intelligence, which can handle either dimension of combat while the pilot takes care of the other.
It should be noted that, unlike most mobile suits, Nexus' pilot's compartment and cockpit are not buried in its chest, but are inside its sensor head. In fact, the entire head can be ejected as an escape vehicle if the suit needs to be abandoned.
