    Story:

Legios is one of two new prototype mobile suits that the United Alliance Armed Forces have painstakingly designed and constructed under the highest levels of secrecy. Commissioned and overseen by Field Marshall Adam Sheridan himself, operation G-Revival has been officially made a part of the Earth Restoration & Reclamation (E2R) Plan. The exact part that these two units will play in that operation is unknown, but there is clearly a hidden agenda at work. Like their ancestors, the Zodiac G units of the Space War, these new suits are much more than equipment test beds. Though they both come with their fair share of new technologies, neither of their advances is as sophisticated as their one piece of equipment that is barely understood: the bio-computer.

Legios has been officially designated a General Unrestrained Nuclear Drive Assault Module. Its overall design is a combination of two separate experiments in mobile suit engineering. Its variable configuration does not merely turn it into one high-speed craft, but two separate fighting units. Between the pair is the core block, which is essentially the cockpit module with an added booster that allows it to transform into an independent fighter that can dock with either section or remain on its own. Using Legios' bio-computer, the pilot is able to take control of Alpha and Beta units, using them as backup, as recon units, or as unmanned craft to send on particularly suicidal missions. Ideal in both space and an atmosphere, both of Legios' basic components are able to maintain a high top speed, though the core fighter lags behind them.

Due to the timing and location of its construction, Legios was unable to be equipped with the new Trans-Phase Gundanium armor used on the Hathor Gundam. Instead, it relies on an older variation of the heavy alloy using the principles of Ark Nova's famous Phase Shift effect. When active, Phase Shift armor is covered in an invisible energy field that appears to give the suit color, which fades to a flat grey when it deactivates. Legios is able to maintain its Phase Shift for about four hours of constant use, followed by an hour-long rest period to cool the shield generators. The rest of Legios is also made up of standard Gundanium, from its frame and myomer muscles to the core block, making it stronger and more durable than most suits.

Legios' primary weapons, like its Phase Shift armor and section systems, are powered by two Neutron-S drives, each in a separate section of the suit's body. This allows the parts of the suit's split form to run indefinitely, except the core block, which becomes dependent on a five hour backup battery. When the unit is merged back into its suit mode, both drives supply the power equivalent to a standard engine together. Due to stability worries, however, only two beam cannons are tied into this arrangement, with the rest of arsenal relying on solid ammunition. As for the large, long range particle beam rifle, it contains its own recharging generator. All of these weapons are intricately tied into the mysterious bio-computer, which can give them incredible accuracy in the hands of the right pilot.
