The core elements of the Braver's design are lifted directly from the blueprints of the Leo Gundam, one of the infamous Zodiac-G units of the Space War. This particular mobile suit had been intended for limited mass production, though it was later shelved in favor of cheaper models. The Braver revived the old goal, but with a few tweaks to the original plan. Advances in technology have allowed engineers to make it much lighter than its predecessor, while the phase shifting Gundanium armor ensures that it doesn't lose any durability from its trim-down. The body's basic construction gives the suit a wider range of movement than most designs, allowing it to work without the encumbrance of a large backpack or wings (though an optional backpack improves its flight speed).
Besides the Preventers' normal Braver, there is also a unique personal custom unit, the C. Arwin Type, in service. Owned and piloted by pirate-turned-Preventer Cless Arwin, it sports a right arm built from the spare parts of his former Gundam, Scorpio. This mounts a shield with a 90mm beam rifle customized for sniping, along with a beam sabre and three "lance darts." This last triad of weapons are long, titanium spears primed to either explode on contact or just skewer a target and generate enough feedback to scramble sensors and communications. In addition, the arm's hand has retracting thermal claws in its fingertips. Besides this, the suit has its Umbra Shroud, which renders it invisible to most sensors and the naked eye, not to mention a third eye in its sensor head that acts as an electronic intelligence (elint) package.
