    Story:

The Aeshma Marine  was originally commissioned by former Ark Nova Defence Force (ANDF) commander Daniel Age, who was able to convince a number of  ex-Grand Cross and Tresdemo Foundation employees to sign on with the lucrative Landon Technologies. Intended to replace the Coyote, and to later be sold to other space colonies, the Marine was a marvel of military planning. Unfortunately, the suit never went far beyond the testing stage before the ANDF was disbanded and transformed into the core of the Preventers. When Age resigned his commission out of protest for this change, he took the unit prototype and a number of the technicians behind it with him. Not to long after, the Aeshma Marine was seen operating among a pirate group led by Age, who has since managed to construct a few additional suits.

As the name implies, Aeshma Marine was intended to build on the practical front-line versatility and capabilities of the original Aeshma mobile suit series. Like its marine corps namesakes, the design is strong and efficient, with a wide selection of useful hand weapons that optimize it for several different missions. Internally, its frame mounts larger myomer bundles than most suits, giving it surprisingly high level of physical strength. While its neo titanium armor is not as effective as Ark Nova's trademark Phase Shift alloy, its liberal application across the Marine's body make up for any shortcomings. This is one of few mobile suits that can take a direct hit or two from the latest heavy weapons and still survive.

Unfortunately, the Marine also comes with its share of drawbacks, few of which have been corrected since it fell into pirate hands. The suit is still a little stiff, its bulky muscles and heavy armor slowing down its reaction time a bit. Also, though capable of space flight, it drops like a rock in an atmosphere, and can only manage short-distance leaps or hovering over terrain. Finally, not every Aeshma Marine in the possession of Age's pirates is up to full specs. Some still lack nuclear drives, and remain dependent on older electrical batteries, which can only meet its energy needs for about two straight hours. Just the same, it is still a very competent unit, posing a significant threat to many of the frontline and specialty models fielded by both the Preventers and the United Alliance.
