  •      Core Stats (Mobile Armor Mode)

    Primary Equipment:

320mm High-Impulse Beam Cannon x 1: A tremendous assault weapon that rivals many energy-based cannons. More powerful than the standard beam rifle, it uses a variation of the mega-particle process to intensify the raw power of a shot without increasing its size. The result is a precise bolt of energy that packs the effectiveness of a battleship blast. An energy clip feeds through fifteen shots. The Reaver can stow an additional clip in each of its forearm compartments.

30mm Light Beam Gun x 1: Mounted in the pointed nose of the Reaver, this weapon is meant to offset the long recharge times of its heavy beam cannon, giving the mobile suit a stable dog fighting weapon. It fires rapid bursts of low-energy blasts, no more significant than typical vulcan fire. However, it is nonetheless fairly effective, and often distracts foes from the menace of the much larger impulse gun. This weapon can only be used in mobile armor mode.

Beam Sabre x 2: A variation of the beam sword, this weapon also creates a stable energy blade that is useful in close combat. More powerful than common heat weapons and other alloy blades or clubs, it has the capacity to usher in a new standard in close range armaments. It is also quite easy to replace and repair, though it does drain more energy from the mobile suit's electrical battery. When not in use, both these weapons are stowed inside compartments in the Reaver's forearms.

Torso Vulcan x 2: Mounted just below the sensor head, these weapons fire light armor piercing bullets in high-velocity bursts. While not always effective against heavier targets, they are ideal for light craft, and even shooting down incoming missiles. These weapons can only be used in mobile suit mode.

    Optional Equipment:

Energia Booster: A long-range booster rocket that allows the mobile suit to break from the Earth's atmosphere and cover long distances in space. Its internal battery takes over for the mobile suit's own generator, allowing for twelve additional hours of use without any loss of combat potential. Unfortunately, this attachment is too heavy to use in an atmosphere.

    Story:

Constructed from proven concepts and stolen designs, the Reaver is one of a three-unit set that takes the United Alliance Armed Force's basic Soldati to a new level. Technologically advanced, these machines are the new elite of the UAAF. They finally realize the failed Zodiac G project's goal of creating mobile weapons that not only stand up to those of the Grand Cross, but surpass them, reinforcing the Alliance's superiority as a military and political power. It is therefore ironic that many of innovative features within them have been lifted directly from the files of the GC and Tresdemo Foundation.

The Reaver is named after the daring space pirate bands who have inspired a mythology of romanticism while plaguing the Earth Sphere. It shamelessly incorporates basic principles from the Grand Cross Ahzi into the core elements of a basic Soldati. A simple reconfiguration system gives the mobile suit the versatility of two different attack modes without many of the transformation complexities of the Alliance's variable prototypes Capricorn and Cancer. Like its namesakes, it can strike fast, using the advantage of maneuverability instead of brute force. A detachable booster allows the machine to extend its range without being dependent on large transports or vulnerable shuttles. This, however, seems a little unnecessary at times, since the mobile suit's new electrical battery can provide it with up to twelve hours of use, or eight if pressed rigorously.

Striking fast doesn't preclude the Reaver from hitting hard. With the help of its large impulse beam cannon, it can ravage a target in one or two shots. Though its near-exclusiveness within the mobile suit mode arsenal limits the unit's close range capacity, the Alliance's experts feel that new pilots will prefer the simple layout. It makes the Reaver an excellent bridge for former Foxhound jockeys, who have gone their whole careers using a similar weapons load on their mobile armors. It also helps the mobile suit come off as good sniper, keeping it far from the thick of intense combat. Should it ever need to close ranges, its mix of lighter guns and beam sabres are ready to prove that this mobile suit is not to be taken lightly.
