    Primary Equipment:

G-Sniper Rifle x 1: A bullet-firing rifle that fires in single shots. The pilot's accuracy is enhanced by the Gundam's targeting system, which offers a secondary scope not usually found in other mobile suits. The rifle can fire two ammunition types: an armor piercing shell, derived from those used in hyper vulcans, which explodes after impact and penetration, or a specialized "scramble pod." The latter are tiny electronic devices which, when imbedded in a target, disrupt sensors and communications. An large ammunition clip allows for eighty shells, in any numerical combination. This weapon is integrated into the Gundam's shield.

Buster Anchor x 1: A "silent" weapon ideal in stealth operations, the anchor fires from the Gundam's left arm, lancing into a target with its beak-like blade. Its tiny vernier ports enhance its piercing ability, while enabling the anchor to make limited movements. If a pilot knows where a target ahead lies, he/she can fire the anchor, and let it weave around a corner. An optional tow/retrieval cable can be attached to this weapon to simplify return, but it limits its range. If desired, the pilot can detach it,

Beam Sabre x 1: A weaker variation of the beam sword, this weapon also creates a stable energy blade that is useful in close combat. More powerful than common heat weapons and other alloy blades or clubs, it has the capacity to usher in a new standard in close range armaments. It is also quite easy to replace and repair, though it does drain more energy from the mobile suit's electrical battery. This weapon is mounted underneath the rifle, and can be activated while still attached (serving as a large bayonet) or detached for conventional use.

Umbra Shroud: A powerful new stealth system, the shroud envelops the entire mobile suit with a reflective energy field that quickly takes on chameleon-like properties. This effectively makes the Gundam invisible, and impossible to detect using conventional sensory systems. The field also has defensive value, increasing the Gundam's resistence to attacks. In addition, the Shroud can be used in tandem with the suit's electronics to disguise its sensor signature, allowing it to mimic the readouts of any craft it has encountered. One disadvantage to this system, however, is it puts a drains the mobile suit's electrical battery, offering only an hour of use before it disengages and puts the unit on reserve power. Another drawback is that there is not even enough power available for its ranged weapons and targeting systems while the shroud is running.

    Story:

The realities of the United Alliance's Zodiac G project have slowly come to light. Six mobile suits, based upon the unfinished prototype of the defunct Englestein project of CC 086, were created by the United Alliance Armed Forces to wreck havoc upon the colony rebellion of the Grand Cross. Tailored for high performance in specialized fields, these machines each feature advanced weapons, equipment, and, most important of all, the incredible Paragon computer system. "Shackled" deep within the databases of each Zodiac G is a malevolently-installed human consciousness that has been torturously programmed to obliterate the Grand Cross, but is far too traumatized to actually do so.

Gundam is the code-named attached to the mobile suits produced by the Alliance's Zodiac G project. A desperate gambit concocted by the UAAF command, the program was to be followed-up by the rapid deployment of the new "Gundam team." Using their machines to make deep strikes against the Grand Cross, these pilots would take pressure off the front lines, and shift the war to the rebellion's own Arks. In time, the Gundams may also become the basis for a more economical Alliance mobile suit series, though the UAAF has been concentrating more on their immediate importance. Unfortunately, not all of the Gundams are have remained in the Alliance's hands.

Like a scorpion, this Gundam can approach its targets silently, and strike without any warning. This is primarily thanks to its Umbra Shroud, a stealth system that effectively makes the unit invisible. Scorpio can also defy a wide variety of additional sensors when this is active, from heat to magnetic, literarily vanishing from total view. Coupled with its blinding speed, the Gundam is an ideal infiltrator, and it even stands well against the Aeshma series in direct combat. Still, Scorpio's focus is upon stealth operations, and its durability does not give it as much staying power as its peers. In an ideal operation, it will sneak behind enemy lines, and tear apart their resources in a series of ambushes. The further potential residing in the suit, held within its Newtype "soul" Selkis, remains to be seen. 1
