Mobile Armor/Walker Capacity: 16

Primary Equipment:
Extended-Range Double Beam Cannon x 7: Typical beam cannons that have been mounted into naval-style mount along the ship's hull. Each cannon has excellent range, and is still able to pack a fair amount of firepower. Besides direct assault, they often double as a means of clearing away space junk, asteroids, or shooting down incoming warheads.
Missile Launch Port x 16: Rectangular missile racks are located on either side of the hull, just below the bridge tower and along the underside. Each is loaded with several dozen heavy missiles that break apart into a wide spread of smaller warheads. Effective against mobile weapons, they can have their "split" feature deactivated when used against a larger target.
Brief Background:
The Freedom has served the United Alliance for the last forty years in a variety of forms, seeing a wide range of field upgrades. The current model, which was brought into service about five years ago, replaces the older, shell-firing 180mm guns with a collection of beam cannons, giving the ship greater longevity in combat. Typically, these vessels go into space with a full complement of Foxhound mobile armors (eight units) and two different pairs of walker units. Those closer to the Earth and the UAAF's lunar headquarters, however, usually trade two of their flight units for a pair of Winter MXTs. In truly dire situations, additional machines (usually at least one Demolisher) can be lashed to the hull, though this is only done when heavy combat is expected.
