The Bellafuria is an evolution of these machines, built on the more sophisticated standards of NT-100 series frame. It is a perfect representation of the growing artistic flair that is going into Armatech's more elaborate designs. The core suit is a trim, agile (some even say sexy) unit that is faster and stronger than its appearance suggests. Restricting its use to Newtype pilots has allowed the syndicate to push the performance limits that the suit's power plant and myomer muscles can manage, making the Bellafuria far too rough and straining a ride for any Natural.
Of course, the centerpiece of this model is not just its core potential, but the remote weapons it carries. Eight long funnels are docked on its shoulders, each one capable of flying independently from the suit under the mental direction of the Newtype pilot. With a disciplined mind at the helm, Bellafuria's onboard Psychic-Communications Computer (Psycom) can easily manage the manoeuvres of all eight mobile bits at once. Each one mounts a beam emitter that can either act as a potent cannon or a long beam sabre. The funnels can also interconnect their energies to form beam shields, though at least three are required to do this.
Strangely enough, this design never became an exceptional hit within the infamous Newtype Corps. In fact, many Corps pilots shunned it in favor of other models, leaving Armatech holding the bag for a tremendously expensive development program. Not willing to let their efforts go to waste, the firm offered to sell the design, sometimes secretly, to private clients across the Earth Sphere. Only the wealthiest space colonies have been able to afford one or two of these machines, at most, however, which lead to the shutdown of mass production just prior to the Corps' rebellion.
