Downtown the towers glitter, like decorated
tombs/ The homeless pick through litter, TV's glare in living rooms/Below
the Alien Nation is just about to bust/With anger and frustration, boredom
and mistrust/THIS WORLD IS OURS FOR THE TAKING/THE NEW WORLD
IS OURS FOR THE MAKING/ Emerge from little homes, like hibernating
bears/ Trudge to work like gnomes, trade cold and hostile stares/It's emotionally
trying, and soon exacts a toll/ We're not starving but we're dying, of
poverty of the soul/THIS WORLD IS OURS/This world is dominated by
the values that reflect/The dogma of suspicion and the religion of neglect/In
every day in every way in dealing with each other/We learn to spurn the
hope we yearn to live with one another/We internalize these values from
our very first breath/They're as dangerous and addictive as a little crystal
meth/We learn from culture fiends who hold that power at the reins/ Climbs
in like an earwig lays it's eggs into your brain/Do you recall the legos
you played with as a kid?/You built them up and knocked them down, it didn't
matter what you did/The system's not a dragon, it's got cracks and chunks
and rows/The machinegun money wagon is just a tower of legos/THIS WORLD
IS OURS/So I'll ask, is this a movement, that can fight and get things
done?/Or is this just a party? Are we all just having fun?/Take a look
around, we built this with our hands/So we can damn sure smack it down,
and build a better legoland/THIS WORLD IS OURS/In school, at work,
our whole lives, every day you see we're told/That we are dumb and evil,
must be governed and controlled/To give up on the struggle, well that only
proves them right/Slog through every day but keep a better life in sight/

lead could never be as moral as my songs/Yes there is us and them but there
