Not Bombs Raleigh
is trying to end local hunger.
Every
Sunday, the FNB kids get together to prepare and serve meals to those who
cannot afford to do so themselves. They begin their day by collecting
bread and vegetables, as well as any other edible yet unsellable foods
from local grocers.
Next,
all the food is brought to Temple
Beth Orr where it is prepared. Preparation
includes checking and disposal of all overlooked, spoiled food, and then
washing the food to remove all dirt and inedible particles.
Then, the COOKING begins...
