Anti
Racist Action is a group of individuals
dedicated to taking a stand AGAINST RACISM,
SEXISM, HOMOPHOBIA,
and other forms of DISCRIMINATION.
As a group we are NON-VIOLENT;
anyone who takes an aggressive stance does it not as a member of ARA but
as an individual. Forms of resistance include protests, rallies,
letter-writing, and education. We firmly believe that the best way
to fight ignorance is to inform. We have a wide range of interests
within out chapter from political prisoners to animal rights. As
an organization we decide what topics we feel are relevant to the objectives
of ARA. There is no form of heirarchy,EVERYONE
COUNTS!
Currently
ARA is trying
to spread the word of its existence and gain support. We are working
with FOOD NOT BOMBS on
trying to start a community center in Raleigh. If you see a promising-looking
warehouse or other building, leave a message on our voice mail!!!
As always we have our eyes and ears open to any racist activity.
Some members Participated in the Jericho Marich in Washington, DC to demand
freedom for political prisoners. Ahead of is webpage work as well
as the huge task of establishing a community center. We are putting
together a phone tree to spread the word should the clan or any other hate
organization rear it's ugly head without warning.
