     Anwar claims trial to charges 

    Sep 30: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was charged in the Sessions Court yesterday with five counts of corruption and four counts of sodomy, nearly a month after he was sacked from government by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad. 

    Anwar arrested 

    Sep 21: Former DPM is arrested for several criminal offences, including gross indecency and causing public disorder, after he and 30,000 supporters march through KL streets
