Only BN capable of leading the country?
I'm sure that most Malaysian is not in agreement with you Datok Seri. But my advice to you is rethink about MCA participation in the BN...because in most Chinese dominated areas like Ipoh, KL, Penang, the mood of the Chinese voters in the next election will most definitely swing to the DAP...in most likelyhood MCA's parlimentary and state seats in the next election is not going to be safe....and if you are hoping for Malay votes like your constituecy in Segamat..I think you will shock that the Malays is not going to give them to you ...you will lose that seat Datok Seri...Frankly I pity your predicament Datok Seri..but I suppose you like Dr.M himself have friends and children to protect....Anyway good luck to you and the MCA....one last question do you think that Penang will one of the opposition state...together with Perlis, Kedah ,Trengganu and most probably Perak.
The BN had been in power far too long. It is time that the people of Malaysia to make changes in the system. There is nothing to fear. The opposition is just as good as the BN..maybe better..especially when we compared to what they have done these few months.
Ling: Only BN capable of leading the country
KOTA BARU: Barisan Nasional is the only coalition that has a successful track-record in governing the country, MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Ling Liong Sik said.
He said the Barisan also had the most distinguished line-up of capable leaders under the stewardship of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
"If the Barisan is returned to govern, we can see that Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir, a respected figure worldwide, will continue to be the Prim Minister," said Dr Ling told reporters at the party's 49th anniversary dinner on Wednesday.
He was asked to comment on a statement by DAP secretary-general Lim Kit Siang that the Opposition was confident of garnering two-thirds of parliamentary seats in the next general election.
