Biblical Scriptures for Lawyers and Judges

    What is truly amazing is how Jesus himself talked of practitioners of the law.  He did not say to practice law was bad for the law was made for the unjust.  He did, however, say that they have a grave responsibility and warned them explicitly about burdening people just because they can.  Funny how our child support situation has taken on a new meaning.  What they say, without saying is remarkably satanic; "In the name of our countries children, we will destroy the non-custodial first, filtering money from his pocket until the day he can not pay, then, we will cast him into prison.  NOT before we have robbed him of all he could ever possess, regardless of how many children in his household he tries to feed, clothe, and lead.  He will be a martyr for his cause, but, think of the money we will gain until he becomes that martyr.  Who will care anyway?"

Luke 11:46
46 Jesus replied, "And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.
(NIV)

Luke 11:52
52 "Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering."
(NIV)

An early warning to lawyers, forgotten for the most part or never read, of many of our so called leaders.  They will not escape His fury as foretold here;

Rom 12:19
19 Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.
(NIV)

But the Bible did warn us of their nature;

Luke 20:46
46 "Beware of the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and love to be greeted in the marketplaces and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets.
(NIV)
