The radio sucks. I hate the radio. The vast majority of air space is dedicated to rap or alternative stations, that all play the same shitty music over, and over again. The remaining airspace is then filled with a somewhat even distribution of Christian talk, classical, and "variety" stations. First off, I hate rap with the exception of a few songs. Most rap songs are just some big black dude talking really fast about how big his dick is and/or how many women he gets. Second, I hate the vast majority of alternative songs. It takes virtually no musical talent to be an alternative band, which is incredibly stupid because they still become a success in the music industry despite this. Video truly did kill the radio star. "Variety" stations are pieces of crap too. They're just made because the station doesn't have enough balls to decide what kind of music sucks, so they try to make everyone happy by not just playing crap, but playing a variety of it. Why the HELL are there so many radio talkshows? I don't give a rat's ass about other people's problems, unless I find them entertaining, but if they're not then get your shitty station over to AM radio. Classical music stations are kinda stupid too. They'll play one song (about 10 minutes), then spend half an hour talking about it, which is stupid because no one CARES what they think. Also, radio censorship is incredibly stupid. It takes away from the song if words are edited out, and it's pointless because you can figure out what they're saying anyway. Nowadays, I find myself listening to the radio mabey 2 or 3 times a month, and I'm perfectly content because I know I'm really not missing out on anything at all.
