Pipes . . .

 (very) brave interviewer once asked W.C. Fields what he thought about sex.  After a moment's reflection, the ascerbic comedian answered: “Some things are better; some things are worse, but there's nothing exactly like it.”

I’ve given the matter a great deal of thought, and am prepared to offer a similar observation about pipe-smoking: There's nothing exactly like it.  And remember, you can read a book while enjoying a bowl of your favorite tobacco!
