In AmeriKKKa's zeal to conquer the world in the name of its racist "manifest destiny" and capitalism uber alles, people both within its(assumed) borders, and without, have had its hegemony imposed upon them. U.S. hegemony-what is that? It is essentially its socio-economic status quo- its "acceptable norms" and traditions that all people conquered and colonized(assimilated) into its society are forced to adhere to. The force may be applied by coercion, through media propaganda, "peer group" pressure, the passage of laws or by the state's security forces(military and police). Under U.S. rule, we live in constant fear, especially if we are the "wrong" color, nationality, income level, religion, gender, sexual orientation or choose the "wrong" lifestyle. Fear of ridicule, hate crime or other forms of crime, police harassment and/or abuse, being picked up by the F.B.I., La Migra, or other government security force and accused of criminal behavior or of being "mentally unstable". These tactics are typical of ALL repressive regimes, both in the "Third World" and "developed" world. The press and media are both operated as propaganda machines by and for the corporate plutocracy that owns and controls them. The U.S."Constitution" is as worthless as the paper the YanKKKee Empire's currency is printed on as it can be interpreted to mean anything the government judges want it to mean. Under U.S. rule, it's either the YanKKKee Anglo-saxon Protestant male way, or it's no way. And this goes for the rest of the world, too. If any nation or group within another nation dares to defy the U.S. and its corporate interests, they risk attack/invasion from the U.S. military or covert action from its C.I.A. or other international agencies of neo-colonialism. In the U.S., the propagandists tell us we have "freedom of speech", but watch what you say about capitalism, Christianity, white people, the Euro-centric "Canon" or any other of its sacred institutions- the consequences can be insidious and severe. We're told we have "freedom of choice", but beware of the ridicule, stares, verbal or physical attacks, arrest or even death threats or terrorism if you're a woman and choose to have an abortion. What would the cops do if you smoked a joint? What would people do if you chose to swim nude at the beach? Or fully clothed? In most other countries, such patently harmless activities as these are not only acceptable, but don't even warrant conversation. But not in the paranoid U.S. Never mind if it doesn't harm a soul, but if it violates AmeriKKKa's sacred hegemony, it must be banned, censored, stopped! In fact, the ONLY thing that must be stopped is the paranoid, greedy, racist and power-mongering U.S. Evil Empire!
