HOLY CRAP!

Entry #3, 5/6/97
Us Nutty Agnostics

Holier-than-thouists often back up their malice toward "Ungodly" religios philosiphies by claiming that the acknowledgement and following of the Almighty Lord is a method of being able to differenciate between right and wrong. In otherwords, only Monotheists have moral values.

Absolute Crazy-talk.

I'm agnostic, basicly, I believe that there might be or might not be a God. This does not mean that I have no moral values. This does not mean that I think I myself am a God. I've been accused of both.

Becuase I believe God may not exist, this does not mean that I've lost respect for my fellow human beings. That I believe other people may feel pain as I do, and other such things. God is not right and wrong. A few of God's Ten Commandments are quite flawed. Let's take a look at the first one, my personal favortie: Thou shalt have no other gods before me

Now, with that Commandment in mind, I must asume that Mohatma Ghandi went to Hell.

Christianity has been at the base of many good things, but also many awful things. The first to come to mind the early Crusades. Moslims, Christians & Jews all killed over a battle for the holy-land long ago. The next you may think of is the Spanish Inquisition, Torquemada either forced people to convert to Christianity or killed them. I can go on and on.

Religion is not morality.

Now, you'll notice that this HC Entry has been a bit more serious than what I usually write. The reason is because I feel quite serious about this. I suppose I've watched too many cross the line on this.

Sinistral, 1997

This has been an example, of Holy Crap ;)
