GRACE

Grace = undeserved divine favor; in other words, we didn't do anything to deserve it, THEY can't sell it, WE can't buy it! It is a "gift" from our Father given to us because of what his Son, and our lord, saviour, and brother did for us. We can not "work" our way to heaven. We receive this gift of grace solely upon the one condition...... FAITH! Faith in that Jesus Christ shed his blood, and layed down his life to pay for your sins. Faith in that God, our Father raised him from the dead (as he promises he will also do for us).

Now how hard is that? Isn't God great? He wishes that all people be saved and come to hear and believe the truth. Seems to me that our Father and our brother did all the hard work! All we have to do is have faith. Seems like a "no brainer" for me.

  • II Corinthians 5:20-21
    "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, BE YE RECONCILED TO GOD. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we be made the righteousness of God in him."

  • 6:1 "We then as workers together with him, beseech YOU also that ye RECEIVE NOT THE GRACE OF GOD IN VAIN."

  • Romans 1:4-5 "And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead; By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name;

    The love that God has showed towards us along with his amazing patience, abounds towards us. I hear pastors and other ministers preaching this "we are all unrighteous and nothing but a bunch of sinners" throwing "guilt" at us every Sunday and they always refer to Romans 3:10 which says "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one;" making all God's children feel unworthy (usually just before they pass the basket for collections) Now look in your bible and I'll bet it is like all the others it has a footnote in the center column...Romans 3:10 is referring to Psalms 14:1-3 go read it....

    Okay, now let's read on in Romans 3 go to verse 21;

  • "But now, the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto ALL and upon ALL them that believe; for there is NO DIFFERENCE; For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his GRACE through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ: whom God hath set forth to be propitiation (payment)through faith in his blood."

    Our loving Father had to send his first son to do the job that he kept begging man to do. Fulfill his laws, until Christ, man just kept failing; thus God made it easier for us to gain access to him. As it says in Timothy;

    2:4-6 "Who will have all men to be save AND come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is ONE GOD, and one mediator between man and GOD, the MAN Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom FOR ALL, to be testified in due time."

    This gift from God; is so unbelievable, that most do not get what it really means. As I said earlier, it is a "gift" it is "given" to us. All the hard work is done... all we have to do is "believe." Am I saying that we should not try and live as Christ did? NO! I am saying that we; if we believe, that we, because of Christ receive "Sonship rights" it says that we become "joint-heirs of Christ" we receive 5 sonship rights;

  • Righteousness
  • Justification
  • Sanctification
  • Redemption
  • Ministry of Reconciliation - (grace)

    This is what Jesus did for us!
