Lower crime rates - thank you midnight basketball?

We have seen several figures recently on how the crime rate has been declining significantly in the US over the last few years. Clinton loves to say that he had something to do with this such as midnight basketball or the fact that he cares. However, in reality the lower crime rate has very little to do with these touchy-feely liberal solutions and is by far mostly due to one fact: WE'RE THROWING THE SOBs IN JAIL!!!!

Here are the facts on US incarcerations as reported in USA Today 5/27/99. The number of people in federal, state, and local jails/prisons was: 0.7 million in 1985, 1.1 million in 1990, an 1.7 million in 1997. Fewer criminals on the streets to commit crime means fewer crimes committed. It's amazing!! A simple and effective solution to crime: throw the criminals in jail!!

Lanny Davis, former White House lawyer and one of Clinton's chief spin docors revealed some of the many Clintonite's spin strategies to US News and World Report:

1) It is better to put damaging information out ourselves first, and thus have a chance to frame the story.

2) Provide info to wire services first, which caused the New York Times, Wahsington Post and other major news organizations to give the stories less play because AP got them first.

3) Leak bad news to Wall Street Journal because the news would get buried on the politics and government page at the back of the front section.

4) Drop negative news just before holidays, when few Americans focus on Washington activities.

5) The "document dump": piles of White House paperwork are released to the media at the same time they are handed over to Congress. The goal is to overload and confuse the media as close as possible to the reporting deadline.

6) The "Deep-background private placement": giving the scoop to hand-picked reporters or news organizations friendly to the White House.

Bottom line, is that to the Clintonites, spin is more important than facts or substance, because their job is to fool you into believing something that isn't true. And clearly they are experts at this given their need to cover their backsides on the amazing number of scandals this administration has been plagued with!!

Well, don't feel too bad if you are unable to identify this global superpower because this country no longer exists. It has vanished.
