LOVE

LOVE COVERETH MULTITUDE OF SIN

The fist man to ever manifest love on earth was Adam. Adam so loved his wife that he did not see the wife's fault before and after God's judgment in the garden of Eden. He accepted their new fate which resulted from the evil knowledge of the wife's revelation. As far as he was concern, Eve was part of him or rather the borne of his borne and flesh of his flesh. Though Adam himself was not taught what love is and how to love, he has shown us great and perfect way to love.

John 13:34-35

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

WHAT THEN IS LOVE?

The high esteem which God has for His human children and the high regard which they, in turn, should have for Him and other people. Because of the hundreds of references to love in the Bible, it is certainly the most remarkable book of love in the world. It records the greatest love story ever written-- God's unconditional love for us that sent His Son to die on the cross .

Two distinct Greek words for love appear in the Bible. The word phileo means "to have ardent affection and feeling"-- a type of impulsive love. The other word agapao means "to have esteem" or "high regard." ....agape love-- a love that hold someone in high esteem and which was more than a fleeting feeling.

AGAPE

[ah GAH pay]-- a Greek word for love used often in the New Testament . Contrary to popular understanding, the significance of agape is not that it is an unconditional love, but that it is primarily a love of the will rather than the emotions. The New Testament never speaks of God loving unbelieving human beings with emotional love or a love which expects something in return. But He loves with His will-- with agapao . The reason for this is that God can find nothing enjoyable about a sinner on whom His wrath still abides. So He loves by His will; it is His nature to love. Also see LOVE, LOVE FEAST. We are commanded to love one another as children and followers of Jesus Christ. We are not to destroy, spoil, speculate, hate, fight, envy, kill, seduce one another.

When the Lord Jesus went back to heaven 2000 year ago, the apostles, whom He directly commanded (and to be passed unto us) exhibited what it is to love one another.

1 Pet 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
