post war) Capt., Co. K., 38th Virginia Infantry Born 6/24/1843. Enlisted June 2, 1861 at Cascade; Lt.; Co. K. Present till WIA (fleshy part of the arm) at Seven Pines 5/31/1862. Admitted Chimborazo Hosp. 6/3/8162 and returned to duty 7/5/1862. Promoted Capt. 8/3/1864. WIA (severely in jaw) at Bermuda Hundred 8/25/1864, and admitted to Richmond General Hospital. Furloughed 9/9/1864 and retired by Medical Examining Board 12/17/1864. Died 3/14/1926 at Wren (Charlotte Co.) |
