Mixed Q's

She said: Hit the road Jack

and don't come back!

But he came back

because his name was not Jack. :-)

Friend or foe?
Once upon a time, there was a nonconforming sparrow who decided not to fly south for the Winter. However, soon the weather turned so cold, that he reluctantly started to fly south. In a short time, ice began to form on his wings and he fell to earth in a barnyard, almost frozen.

A cow passed by and crapped on the little sparrow. The sparrow thought it was the end. But, the manure warmed him and defrosted his wings. Warm and happy, able to breathe, he started to sing.

Just then, a large cat came by and hearing the chirping, investigated the sounds. The cat cleared away the manure, found the chirping bird, and promptly ate him.

The moral of the story: everyone who craps on you is not necessarily your enemy; everyone who gets you out of the crap is not necessarily your friend; and, if you're warm and happy in a pile of crap, keep your mouth shut.

Socrates ...
They say he was no fool. I guess that's because he never owned a PC.

Well, it is reported that one day one of his followers had an interesting news tidbit and couldn't keep it to himself.

The master, Socrates, was curious to be sure, but first it had to past the baseball test: three-strikes-you're-out.

Socrates asked his anxious follower if what he had to tell him, that couldn't wait, was true. He answered probably not.

He then asked him if it was of any use to anyone. "Certainly not," he snickered.

"Well then,"said Socrates whimsically in an affirmative manner known of great men of his stature: "it must be something good." "No master," smiled blankly his disciple.

"Ah, then why bother telling me?" All of a sudden his disciple had nothing to say and quietly walked away leaving Socrates to his philosophical musings ... with a grin on his face. :-)
