SHOULD PUBLIC SCHOOLS ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS FOR FUNDING WITH PRIVATE BUSINESS?

NO (95%): "Business has too much influence on society nowadays. Who knows how much influence they will have on children. The government should put enough money into education so that this would not even be a consideration."
"The money wouldn't be used for the proper education anyway. We have too much advertising in school anyway."
"That would then give corporations control of the schools, and they would dictate what the kids would learn."
"Public education should not be a captive audience for private corporations."
"Children see enough product promotion on TV. Schools should be a place where children are away from advertisements."
"There is already too much corporate influence in our lives."
"It's a shame we're selling off our schools to the highest bidder."
"This business is getting really frightening."
YES: (5%): "Nike and Addidas have turned our children into walking billboards. Why don't we let the schools benefit from all the money they're getting?"
"It would be a great idea ... it would give the children a chance to get up-to-date equipment."
"We should try to increase the funding instead of taxing people who don't even have children."
