The Times-Bulletin is Van Wert's only locally published paper. The Times-Bulletin is published as an evening paper Monday through Friday, and as a morning paper on Saturday. There is no delivery on holidays. The Times-Bulletin also prints the Weekly Advertiser, a Sunday paper delivered free to residents in and around Van Wert County. The Times-Bulletin is owned by the Brown Publishing Company.

1220 AM WERT and 99.7 FM WKSD are the town's radio stations. Both offer live coverage of area high school sports and other features of community interest. WERT's format is in the "music of your life" style, while WKSD offers rock/contemporary music.
