Newt's Amazon.com Reviews 2. My First Amazon.com Review Dear Friend of Liberty, We're seeing how liberals in the news media have been savaging Vice President, er, vice presidential running mate, Dick Cheney with the sort of fury they've typically hurled at other brilliant, articulate conservatives, like Robert Bork and Newt Gingrich. I recently ran across some examples of Newt's brilliance and articulate writing--online at Amazon.com It seems that Newt has written 9 reviews there. You can read all of his reviews at his Amazon.com page, located at Amazon.com: … or http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/cm/member-glance/-/A27WFYW9ZJ5DN1/ref=cm_ mp_gl/102-9598502-7600156 if you're interested. Better yet, follow the links from each of his reviews to its product page, and scroll down to Customer Reviews where you can actually vote "yes" for the review. Amazon.com ranks its reviewers based on the number of "yes" votes his or her reviews receive from Amazon.com customers. With 70 "yes" votes, Newt currently ranks number 1940. Wouldn't it be great if one of the conservatives most despised by news-media liberals held a high rank among Amazon.com's reviewers, especially since the literate from all over the world frequent Amazon.com? If 800 LibertyNet subscribers each voted "yes" for just one of Newt's reviews, he'd rise to a rank of 13. If 800 of us voted "yes" for all 9 reviews, he'd rise to number one. Just imagine the liberals burying the following headline on page 13: "Newt Gingrich Number One Reviewer on Amazon.com!" You can go directly to the product page of his latest review, where you can vote for it, at Amazon.com: buying info: A Place Called Freedom or http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0449225151/ref=cm_mp_gl_rv/102-9598502- 7600156. (Be sure not to include the period at the end of the previous sentence in the address if you copy and paste it into your browser.) You'll find that unlike most liberal media news coverage, Newt writes in a thoughtful and fair manner, even when he disagrees with the author--just as a real history professor should. My First Amazon.com Review -------------------------- Speaking of history instructors, incidentally, I posted my own first review on Amazon.com earlier this month. You can go directly to it at Amazon.com: buying info: Star Trek VI: The Undi… or http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000002OJG/ref=cm_mp_gl_rv/102-9598502- 7600156 if you're interested. After you've read it I'd really appreciate your "yes" vote. You can also check Amazon.com: … or http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/cm/member-glance/-/A3HFRPVOJCMN23/ref=/10 2-9598502-7600156 for new reviews at my Amazon.com page. With only one review and a dozen "yes" votes, I'm ranked down around 20,000; nothing to write home about--yet. Sincerely, David B. Levenstam, CPA, MT, MA Bush/Cheney in 2000!
