German 10cm WGr40 Mortar

This 10cm German WGr40 mortar round was recovered by QuestMasters at Buon Riposso, Italy, in a stream bed. Note how well the mortar round has been preserved in the stream bed. Unfortunately the fuze on the WGr40 was highly corroded. Over two hours of careful work was conducted to render the round safe after recovery. This round will eventually be restored for presentation in the QuestMasters Museum.
