Alameda Naval Air Station Closing Ceremony Page-1
Alameda Naval Air Station in Alameda California, on the East edge of San Francisco Bay, had a final Closing Ceremony on April 19, 1997. On this final ceremony, which was open to the public, 4 North American B-25 World War II Bombers took off, flew 2 full passes over the airfield, dropped flowers into the bay, then landed back at the Naval Airstation. These are some of the pictures that I took on this slightly overcast day.
